Multan:Media Foundation 360 conducted a workshop on Citizen Action in Multan on 18 Nov 2019.
The session discussed the importance of citizen action, ethics, and values of Peace journalism. The session concluded with examples of peace journalism and group work by participants. Senior journalist Shahzada Irfan facilitated this session.
Former MNA Tariq Rasheed, a well-known political figure of Multan graced the occasion as chief guest. Ex-MNA Tariq Rasheed said, “Humanity and working for peace is the biggest virtue. We tried our best to give due status to non-Muslim Community but could not achieve the goals. However, we will continue our efforts.” He said, “Theme of the project is simply great. I strongly believe that media can change the society by disseminating knowledge and enlightenment. Media is the biggest tool for spreading the word of peace and harmony. I congratulate MF 360 for taking up this difficult project in a city like Multan.”
